首次研究：通过人工授精需要多少个卵子才能成功生育——15个卵子是最佳数量

一项在英国针对40万个试管婴儿周期的分析表明，医师在一个周期内从女性卵巢中取15个卵子，这样能在采取辅助生育技术时取得最佳的生育几率。
这项发表在欧洲领先的生殖医学期刊Human Reproduction上的研究发现，成功生育率和一周期内获取卵子数量之间存在着紧密的关系。成功生育率随提供卵子数量上升而显著提高，直到卵子数量达到15个；而在15至20个卵子数量间，生育率数值持平，当超过20个卵子，对应数值稳步下降。
