New Economics Editor
Journal of Economic Geography has a new Economics Editor. On 1st August, Henry Overman took over from Diego Puga. Henry Overman is Reader in Economic Geography at the London School of Economics. His teaching focuses on applied spatial economic theory and policy, and his current research interests include empirical tests of location theories, the evolution of city size distributions and the causes and consequences of urban sprawl. His research on clusters and urban sprawl has been published in leading economics journals (The Review of Economics Studies and The Quarterly Journal of Economics), while his work on city size distribution and the geography of UK trade has been been published in leading economic geography journals (Environment and Planning A and Journal of Economic Geography).
Henry Overman will deal with all new Economics manuscripts submitted after the 31st July. Diego Puga will continue to handle revised papers submitted to the journal in response to past revise and resubmit invitations.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Diego Puga for all his hard work over the last few years, and for his substantial contribution towards establishing the JOEG as an important and high-impact journal in the field of economic geography.
