Database Description
Genome Information Broker is a comprehensive database of microbial genomes in the public domain. We started the database to diffuse the complete genome data of Escherichia coli and have expanded to capture all the mirobial genome data from the database of International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (http://www.insdc.org/). The user interface is interacive and composed of text and graphics. For the retrieval and analysis of sequences and annotation, GC plot, blast, search by ORF names and keyword are available either for a single genomes or multiple genomes in a session.
Recent Developments
The database includes 27 archaea, 306 bacteria and 5 eukaryota genomes. We will keep updating and adding complete microbial genome data.
