Oxford University Press to publish ICSID Review

2 November 2011

Oxford University Press (OUP) is pleased to announce its partnership with the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), an independent facility within the World Bank for resolution of international investment disputes, for the publication of the ICSID Review—Foreign Investment Law Journal.

OUP will begin publishing articles in 2012, in addition to providing access to the journal’s full archive. The first issue published by OUP will be Volume 27, Issue 1.

Founded in 1986, the ICSID Review is a specialized periodical devoted exclusively to foreign investment law and international investment dispute settlement. The Review offers legal and business professionals an up-to-date review of the field and includes articles, case comments, documents, and book reviews on the law and practice relating to foreign investments as well as the procedural and substantive law governing investment dispute resolution.

“ICSID is delighted to be teaming up with Oxford University Press to publish the ICSID Review, and we look forward to benefitting from Oxford’s long tradition of publishing excellence,” Meg Kinnear, Secretary-General of ICSID, said.

ICSID Review, previously available in print only, will also benefit from the full range of online functionality offered by Oxford Journals, including continuous publication, related article recommendations, and a fully optimized mobile site.

“We are thrilled to be extending our publishing by partnering with ICSID, and discussing how to further develop the quality and impact of the ICSID Review,” said Andy Redman, Editorial Director for Law at OUP. “Our goal is to enshrine the Review as the standout source for the latest thinking and scholarly reflection on international investment law.”

The journal joins OUP’s comprehensive international investment law and arbitration portfolio and, through OUP’s online platform and extensive marketing and international sales, will broaden its reach to a global audience. OUP currently publishes two loose-leaf services in partnership with ICSID: Investment Laws of the World and Investment, Promotion and Protection Treaties.
