British Journal of Anaesthesia
Editorial Board Membership
The British Journal of Anaesthesia invites applications for ordinary membership of its Editorial Board to commence in January 2010. The appointment will be for a 5 year term renewable for a further 5 years. To be eligible for appointment applicants should:
1. Be engaged in a substantive academic or clinical position, and preferably with significant experience of clinical or experimental research, in one of the fields of anaesthesia, critical care and pain medicine within Europe;
2. Have made a significant contribution to the work of the British Journal of Anaesthesia through the thorough and efficient reviewing of manuscripts and/or publication of original articles.
The duties of Editorial Board membership include:
1. The review of at least 20 articles per year submitted for publication as requested by the editors;
2. To attend and contribute to the three Editorial Board Meetings each year;
3. To provide an editorial and a scientific review article during each five year term;
4. Upon request, to serve as a member of BJA sub-committees.
Applications, in the form of a covering letter, a brief CV (maximum 2 sides of A4) and a list of publications in the past 5 years should be sent to the Administration Director, Professor PM Hopkins at p.m.hopkins@leeds.ac.ukk by 20th April 2009.
