Past Spotlight / Review Focus Issues

Cardiovascular Research regularly publishes 'Spotlight Issues'. These issues are devoted to a specific research topic and contain a number of invited expert reviews.

In addition, a major part of each issue is reserved for original research papers. Please find a full list below of Spotlight Issues published in Cardiovascular Research since 2003, many of which are available free online. Topics covered range from myocardial proteases, to the genetics of arrhythmias, to sodium and its effects on the heart.

"Review Focus issues" consist of a series of reviews that may or may not be accompanied by original papers – they are generally not as broad in scope as Spotlight Issues.
