Information for Authors
Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief, accompanied by an assurance that the article has not been published, submitted or accepted elsewhere. Articles to be published in a different forum within one year of submission will not be considered. Authors are requested to submit manuscripts by email attachment. No hard copy is required. A 200-word abstract should be included with the article. Manuscripts should normally range from 8,000 to 12,000 words in length. Authors are invited to follow the Journal's style-sheet, which may be obtained from the Managing Editor upon request, or from the Journal’s web site. The Journal encourages authors to refer to research material published not only in English but also in other languages.
The EJIL is a peer-reviewed journal. Evaluations consider both academic excellence and publishing concerns e.g., the need for a balance of topics, the Journal's particular areas of interest, prior acceptance of articles on similar topics. Authors will normally be notified of the outcome within 8 weeks of receipt of the manuscript. In order to avoid conflict with his other editorial responsibilities, Antonio Cassese does not act as a referee on manuscripts dealing with international criminal law.
