SYMPOSIUM NORTH AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONALISM
Volume 4, Number 2, April 2006
The essays included in this symposium are revised versions of some of the twenty-four papers presented at a conference entitled "North American Constitution" held at the University of Toronto in fall 2004.
Essays consider some of the timely - although less obvious - aspects of North American constitution. They provide some nuanced descriptions and thoughtful explanations of the similarities and differences in the constitutional law and politics of the United States and Canada as well as Mexico.

SPECIAL ISSUE ON THE EUROPEAN CONSTITUTION
Volume 3, Numbers 2-3
A special double issue on the proposed European constitution following up on presentations made at Altneuland: The Constitution of Europe in an American Perspective; a symposium organized jointly by the Hauser Global Law School Program and the Jean Monnet Center for International and Regional Economic Law & Justice, New York University School of Law and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University.
The organization of the articles in this issue follows a loose, inverted pyramid structure. We begin with papers with a broad comparative, theoretical and contextual perspective - situating the new European development in an historical and comarative context. We then turn to some of the key choices made in the constitution itself as regards European identity and Europe's understanding of itself and the document. We end with papers that address key domains within the constitutional architecture: institutions and decision making, competence, foreign policy, and so forth.
