Note: These rates are for advertisers supplying camera-ready copy for standard black and white advertisements. VAT will be added at the standard rate to all UK orders for space, inserts and dedicated mailings. £ prices valid in UK and Europe; US$ prices definitive for rest of world. All orders from EU countries must show the VAT registration number and two-letter prefix identifying the country.

Ad Artwork Specifications:
- We prefer composite PDFs (which should have all fonts and images embedded), created using Adobe Acrobat Distiller 4.0 or higher
- We accept only black and white ads, which should use only grayscale elements
- Halftones: 120-line screen maximum
- Images: Grayscale bitmap images should have an effective resolution of 300 dpi
- Monochrome bitmap images (line art) should have an effective resolution of 1200 dpi
- All artwork should be cropped close to the image and have no registration marks or catch lines, nor should there be any bleeds
- Please provide explicit instructions regarding layout, especially for multiple pages or multiple issues
- Space constraints do not allow us to guarantee multiple page spreads. Multiple page ads should be designed to stand alone if necessary

Advertising materials submitted to the Journal become the sole property of the American Academy of Religion and Oxford University Press. No artwork printed in the Journal will be returned. Advertisements deemed inappropriate by the AAR will be declined. All advertisers will be sent a tearsheet of their published ad, a copy of the issue in which their ad appeared, along with an invoice, which should be paid in full in 30 days.
