Decision turnaround times

Socio-Economic Review’s editorial office and its editors try to provide authors with responses to their submissions as quickly as possible. The average time between submission and first decision varies over the years as does the percentage of manuscripts which are processed, up to the first decision, within 90 days.

We have to stress that these are averages, meaning that there are outliers on both sides. The basis for these calculations is the first decisions in the respective period.

From 2006 to 2010 the average time from submission to first decision varied between 65 and 74 days. In 2010 decisions were reached in 71 days.

In 2006 to 2010 the percentage of submissions which received a first decision within 90 days was between 65 and 86%. During 2010 this figure was at 75%.
