Applications for New Editor
Applications for new EDITOR, Briefings in Functional Genomics and Proteomics
Briefings in Functional Genomics and Proteomics is seeking applications for the position of Editor to lead the journal when Greg Elgar steps down during 2008. BFGP publishes topical reviews, with the aim of providing a central resource for researchers, including those new to these areas. BFGP is a relatively young journal, and the communities it serves have continued to grow and evolve since its launch in 2002. Therefore, as part of this appointment process, the journal will also consider potentially radical changes to its scope and target audience, so that it continues to serve its community well in the future.
The Editor assumes overall editorial responsibility for the journal, working closely with the established editorial office (which provides a high level of support), the editorial board, and Oxford University Press, on journal direction, policies, innovation and development. The role is central to the journal’s success.
If you would like to express your interest in the role, or for further information, please contact Claire Bird by 15th April.
Those who have expressed an interest may subsequently be asked to submit a CV and a summary of their vision for the journal’s future aims, scope and target audience.
